Generally speaking, the specific functional part of life is a career. The activities that a person performs throughout his life related to his profession are his career. A career is not something fixed, but changing and developing. Everyone wishes that the change or development of his/her career should be as per his/her planned goal. In order to build a career well, everyone has to keep some specific points in mind:
a) Knowing your skills and interests well: Knowing yourself is very important in building one's career. That's why we have tried to know ourselves through various fun activities in the sixth to eighth grade through the experiences of 'joy in work', 'what is in my heart', 'my life is my goal' etc. Apart from own likes, dislikes, interest in work, attention, family and social values, etc., whether one has skills or not also plays a role in career advancement. If we usually do what we love to do for most of our lives, then that work or career will surely become enjoyable.
b) Good knowledge of various careers: We have to find out what we want to do according to our preferences or skills. To do this job we must know about different types of professions, scholarships, work, or jobs. One should try to know what kind of profession works, and what kind of skills and experience are required in them. Knowing these will make it easier to choose or find your own field of work.
c) Goal setting and planning: Goal setting and planning are essential for maintaining career momentum or development and building a successful career. It is often seen that without setting a goal or destination, it becomes impossible to build a successful career despite one's qualifications. If the goal is selected, then it is possible to plan what to do at what stage, what kind of skills to acquire, what kind of training when to do, etc. That is why we have practiced the step-by-step planning technique in previous classes.
d) Searching for related jobs or fields of work: Different types of jobs can be found through different media, newspapers, and social media. It is very important to find these things in career formation. But in this case, a lot of scrutiny is required. Whether it is related to one's own knowledge, skills, values, and vision, or whether there is interest in doing it and whether there are enough opportunities - these things need to be patiently explored.
e) Change of field of work or job as per demand of time: This is a very important aspect of a career. As we know, work styles and job fields change with time. So it is very important to keep yourself updated with the needs of the times and acquire the necessary qualifications. Because of this, one has to change the field of work according to the time and opportunity to make the career more structured and successful. Making use of our new experience to find a more favorable job is our career progression
