Since the early days of mankind, people had to keep track of various things. Sometimes people try to keep accounts by making various marks on stones and sometimes on tree barks. From this effort, people invented the abacus. 50 years ago, paper and pen were the main means of accounting and storage for people. The invention of the calculator in technological development gives people some relief in calculations. Yet the problem of complex and lengthy calculations remains. All these problems were solved after the invention of the computer.
What is a spreadsheet program?
A spreadsheet is a type of application computer program. This is sometimes called a workbook. Just as a register has many pages, a workbook has many worksheets. Each worksheet has a number of rows and columns. It looks like the image below-
